"The Merz track Many Weathers Apart was originally released in Feb’ 1998 on a limited run of 1000 numbered 7"s which sold out immediately. First championed by Mary Anne Hobbs on her Radio 1 Breezeblock show and then by a diverse bunch of London scenesters such as Jarvis Cocker, Boy George, Orbital and Trevor Jackson.
The track was then re-released by Epic Records in 1999. And went on to chart in the UK at 42. The CD release included two remixes by François K and was a favourite of the Pete Tong Essential Selection on Radio 1.
Merz performs a 45 minute arrangement of the song, artfully incorporating elements from the original and subsequent remixes”.
“An amazing, challenging, beautiful aural assault in the best way possible” Richard Diver

“Spine tingling & I do not use these words lightly. Merz in Hoxton was something special” Lee Borthwick
